We have compiled some "frequently asked questions" - we hope they are of benefit to you!
How do I know its safe to order from you?
We have been selling online for over 10 years.
When you buy using a card on our website you are entering details directly into the Worldpay system - we never see your details.
When you pay with Paypal, again you are linked directly to the Paypal site and we never see any emails or passwords.
Furthermore, our site transmits all information in encrypted form.
We take your security and safety very seriously.
When can I expect my order to arrive ?
Smaller items which can be posted / couriered usually arrive quickly stock allowing.
Large, heavy items need to be sent by pallet when they have been dispatched your order will be updated to 'shipped' your local courier will then contact you to arrange a suitable week day for delivery. Most items can be delivered within 1 week of ordering, if you need an item quickly or for a specific date please call us to check availability for dispatch. What if I order more than one item - do I pay lots more for delivery?
For heavy ornament items, providing everything fits on one pallet then you only pay the one delivery charge . Any doubts just give us a call 0191 3000 145 or send us an email firstname.lastname@example.org. You can get quite a lot of items on one pallet!
Orders over £300 qualify for Free Delivery.
Are the ornaments / statues frost proof?
Yes. Our ornaments and statues are designed to happily live outside, and so for practical purposes our items are frost proof. We live in the high hills of Northumberland - our garden is very exposed - and our ornaments have been outside for many years without ill effects. This being said bird baths and statues which have pooling water should be emptied in freezing conditions to avoid cracking.
For heavy items, will the delivery include placing the ornament in my garden ?
No. Your item will arrive on a pallet and the driver will endeavour to place it as near to possible to your house. He will use a pallet truck, but this cannot go over gravel, soft ground or steps.
There are access problems to my house, what do I do ?
For heavy items, some of the pallet delivery vehicles can be quite large. If your house (or delivery address) has access issues it is vital that you let us know when you place the order. We will then liaise with the delivery company. It may be, for example, that they can deliver using a smaller vehicle.
Can I Collect my statue?
Pre-ordered and paid for statues can be collected from the factory saving you the delivery charge. A collection date/time must be arranged in advance to ensure staff are available to help you.
Can I view statues before buying?
We currently do not have a retail viewing area and are unable to allow the general public access to browse the factory stock for health and safety reasons. However, pre-ordered items can be viewed in the DGS collection area prior to delivery (by arrangement only). If you then decide that the item is not suitable for any reason we will refund in full. If you are happy with the statues delivery can be arranged or you can take the item with you.
Can I Order Replacement Parts?
Due to several issues in the past we no longer supply replacement birdbath bowls or bench tops for your old ornaments. This is because new items will never match parts which have been weathered in your garden for several years, and the mixing of the original and new part usually gives an unsatisfactory result.
